Loads of Practicality for the Cost of a Coffee

They're not the prettiest things out there but these lights are quite bright, to the point where I'd advise to mount them around waist height. You don't want to be blinded every time you switch them on, because they're not sensor lights. When the sensor versions or competitors are on sale, definitely go for those instead. Other relatively inconsequential criticisms are that the 'on' position is upwards and they do use 4 batteries. That said, they probably owe their brightness to the number of batteries and the first lot of batteries are included in the price, which one can't complain about. A pleasant surprise that was not mentioned in the product description is that the lights come with adhesive velcro patches so no screwing or nailing is necessary and they're up and running instantly. This also means that you can also return them to their place (after using them as flashlights) upside down, if that suits you better. They can basically go anywhere. The switching action produces a fairly loud thunk (another reason why sensor versions would be preferable) however this is testament to what seems to be very sturdy high quality construction. Put them in your pantry or take the granny flat off grid and stick it to the energy companies.
