8-way motor controller
By: James Brown on 10 September 2019This works perfectly. You may wonder why you need an 8-way controller for a 4WD car, doing this gives you forward/backward on each wheel, by setting the voltage across the motor either + or - by moving each wire high or low. Put the 4 red motor wires into the out1 -> out4 pins and the black motor wires into out5 -> out8. Then take 8 digital outputs from the Arduino/ESP and you can control each wheel forwards and backwards. Probably you only need to control left side and right side forward and back so 4 pins would do fine. Anyway, this does exactly what you're expecting it to and doesn't need any messing around. The independent power toggle switch is handy while you're re-flashing too. Nice :)
